Carved pair of chairs in original dark brown colour. The carving on the top of the back is a flower which represents fertility and a wish for many children. These chairs were wedding chairs and are from South China. People wish the wedding couple many children because the Chinese believe children can bring luck and fortune in the future.

Jiangsu
