An original abacus, called a 'Suan Pan' in China, which means calculator.Each one of the two beads on the top is equal to the five beads below. Chinese people used it to calculate like we use calculators today. Suan Pans were first used some 600 years ago, and even today, some Chinese use abacuses instead of calculators.
